Happy New Year From The VCC
20/11/12
Our Chairman Robert Bryce has decided that due to pressures of work he is currently unable to put in the time and commitment required of his position on the Viking Cat Club committee and he has therefore taken the decision to take a break from his position as Viking Cat Club Chairman.
The Viking Cat Club are sorry to lose Robert from this position, but entirely understand his current priorities. He will remain as a valued member of the committee and we hope that he will be able to take a more active role within the committee again in the future when work commitments allow.
With immediate effect our Deputy Chair, Debbie Davies, will be taking over the position of Acting Chair and the Acting Deputy Chair position will be taken over by Fran Williams. All email communications for the club Chairman should continue to go to chairman [snail] vikingcatclub [period] com -> mailto:chairman [snail] vikingcatclub [period] com
Make sure you keep your cat safe from the fireworks on Bonfire Night.

| WE HAVE DONE IT! VCC now have over 150 cats in competition for their 1st ever show under the new committee! A big THANK YOU to all who made this possible. Margaret is still accepting entries until noon on Saturday 8/9/12 for anyone still wishing to enter the show. |
Viking Cat Club Show
15/9/12
Great news!
The entries for the VCC show in Alcester have now exceeded the number required to put the show on, so a big thank you to all those people who have entered already and supported the VCC in the running of their 1st show since the new committee took over.
The closing date for the show is this coming weekend – Saturday 1st September so if you haven’t entered yet, please send them to the
entry clerk as soon as possible.
We do however need a few more Maine Coons and Category II cats in general to be able to put on the Maine Coon Best in Show. There is a great entry of Maine Coon kittens which will be great to see so many youngsters at the show but if you have any adults or neuters you can bring along, that would be great.
The entries for the Breed Best in Show to go ahead must be received by the 1st September at the latest to meet the requirements of the FIFe rules.
Hopefully if we can reach the numbers needed we can then look at running BIS specials for other breeds in the future.
The VCC have a great raffle to be held on the day with some fantastic prizes too so let’s see how many more entries we can get this week.
See you all there.
More details and entry forms can be found on VCC International show - 2012 If you need any help with your entries or have any questions about showing with FIFe then contact the Show Manager, Debbie Davies at showmanager [snail] vikingcatclub [period] com -> mailto:showmanager [snail] vikingcatclub [period] com or the Entry Clerk, Margaret Scott at entries [snail] vikingcatclub [period] com -> mailto:entries [snail] vikingcatclub [period] com
Viking Cat Club Show
15/9/12
With the official closing date of the 1st September 2012 fast approaching, entries for the Viking Cat Club show at Alcester are looking good. The Maine Coon Breed Special is looking very promising, entries are continuing to come in, we have lots of Neuters and Kittens entered but could do with some more Adult entries. So all you Maine Coon Breeders and exhibitors remember to get your entries sent in in the next week.
Do you have a Stud or Queen at home that could be the Overall Winner of our Maine Coon Breed Best in Show? You super cats cannot win if they are on your sofa at home on the day of the show!So lets see a flurry of entries in this coming week to keep our Entry Clerk Margaret busy both Maine Coons and also the other breeds in Category II – remember we need the Norwegians, Siberians, Ragdolls, Turks and Birmans as well and you will not be competing with the Maine Coons for your Best in Show at this show.
We would also like to see more entries in all the other categories as well - lets make this revival Viking Cat Club Shows one of the biggest Felis Britannica Shows for some considerable time

The Viking Cat Club is a friendly all breed cat club, brought together by our love and dedication to cats.
We aim to give the Members the opportunity to talk to the committee, find out what is happening in the club and put forward any viewpoints they may have.
The website has only recently been completed and there is still information to add, but we hope you will enjoy having a look around and come back to visit us again soon.
This is the first page the visitor will see when they visit the website and the committee should advise what information and images they want to have displayed

Samson is a wonderful boy with a sweet temperament and I am looking forward to babies from him hopefully this year.
